An American in ‘Porto’: Filmmaker Gabe Klinger on Jim Jarmusch, Remembering Anton Yelchin and Believing in Love

After we done my initial feature, a documentary ‘Double Play: James Benning and Richard Linklater’ in 2013, everybody was seeking me about my subsequent project. we didn’t have a subsequent project, so we only illusory something quickly, something that appealed to me, and we started essay it. we wasn’t meditative about why. It was one page, afterwards it was 30 pages, afterwards we brought in Larry Gross, my co-writer and it became about 80 pages. It happened really fast. Later we talked to Anton Yelchin and Lucie Lucas, a leads, and we started to change things, and afterwards we were on location, and looking during specific spaces, and we altered things even more… and it only went on like that. It was a hint that didn’t go away. Or we could contend it was a hint that incited into a torch, and thankfully it concerned some-more people than myself, people like Larry, Anton, Lucie, Jim, etc., who kept a fire going…
