It’s been over a year given Star Trek star Anton Yelchin died during 27 after being tragically killed by his possess Jeep SUV final summer. He might be gone, though he’s not forgotten. This past Sunday, a statue was denounced during L.A.’s Hollywood Forever Cemetery, with a late actor’s family, friends, and colleagues on palm to respect him.
Yelchin will expected be best remembered for personification Chekov in 3 Star Trek films, commencement with a franchise’s reboot in 2009. And so it’s wise that some of his Star Trek collaborators done it to a ceremony, including executive J.J. Abrams and co-stars Simon Pegg and Zoe Saldana.
Against a backdrop of photos of Yelchin via his life, Saldana also spoke during a unveiling, along with some of Yelchin’s family members. Other guest enclosed stars Jennifer Lawrence, Emile Hirsch, Jon Voight, and Drake Doremus, who destined Yelchin and Lawrence in 2011’s Like Crazy.
The statue was combined by sculptor Nick Marra and The Walking Dead FX artist and writer Greg Nicotero. It’s now on arrangement for open observation during a Hollywood Forever Cemetery’s Garden of Legends. The cast during a bottom of a statue reads “Anton Yelchin 03-11-89 – Forever …”
