A pink diamond weighing in during roughly 19 carats is set to go on debate before being auctioned in Geneva and could fetch a record cost of between $30 million and $50 million, Christie’s auction residence announced on Tuesday.

The rectilinear cut Pink Legacy is rated “vivid”, a top rating for a diamond’s colour, and weighs 18.96 carats, creation it a largest imagination clear pink diamond Christie’s has ever offering for auction.

It was once partial of a Oppenheimer collection, Christie’s said, referring to a family who built De Beers into a world’s biggest diamond trader.
