House’ Commission II Asks Meikarta Project to be Put on Hold

JAKARTA, NETRALNEWS.COM – House’ Commission II asks Lippo to postpone Meikarta genuine estate plan until all permits are approved.

This was conveyed by Member of Commission II of a House of Representatives (House) from Golkar Party Hetifah Sjaifudian in a conference (RDP) assembly with Indonesia Ombudsman and Directorate General Regional Autonomy of a Ministry of Home Affairs on a contention about Meikarta plan on Wednesday (9/27/2017).

“As it should be, construction should be halted before all permits mandate are met,” Hetifah said.

Despite Meikarta’s large selling efforts, it has not met a compulsory permits such as building permits (IMB). Environmental impact research also has not been released by Bekasi and West Java Provincial Governments. In terms of land use permits, of a 164 hectares usually 84.6 hectares are registered.

Another Commission II member Sareh Wiyono strongly requested that a Meikarta plan be stopped.

“This clearly violates Law No. 20 of 2011 on Flats,” pronounced Sareh.
