TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Neneng Hasanah Yasin, non-active Bekasi regent-cum-suspect in Meikarta swindle case, has returned a sum of Rp8 billion to the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK). “[Non-active] The Bekasi Regent has returned Rp2 billion to KPK on Thursday, Jan 3,” pronounced KPK orator Febri Diansyah in Jakarta today, Jan 4.
Febri pronounced a KPK was appreciative of Neneng’s act. “Even yet it does not revoke a rapist sentence, her cooperation will be deliberate as a cause to giving her a lighter judgment during authorised proceedings.”
The KPK has named 9 suspects in a swindle box of satellite city plan of Meikarta: Lippo Group operational executive Billy Sindoro, consultants Taryudi and Fitra Djaja Purnama, and an worker Henry Jasmen.
Other suspects include Neneng and 4 Bekasi officials, namely the Head of Bekasi Public Works and Housing (PUPR) Agency, Jamaludin; the Head of Bekasi Fire Department, Sahat MBJ Nahar; the Head of Bekasi Capital Investment and One-Stop Integrated Services Agency (DPMPTSP), Dewi Tisnawati; and a Head of PUPR’s Spatial Planning, Neneng Rahmi.
